Events

Alpha Sigma Sigma Chapter continues to be unbreakable in our commitment to our National Programs. We have been a partner with the March of Dimes- March for Babies (formerly known as Walk America)

for over 31 years raising over $31,000.00 for the fight against birth defects.  We have donated school supplies, computers and tutored under Big book bag through the Thelma Marshal Children’s home now known as Alpha House and the School Supply Give Away organization for over five years serving over 1500 students.  Maternal Care project partnering with the Health Department of the City of Gary. Expecting mothers and support persons attend classes on nutrition and pre-natal care.  We have given over 50 baskets of layette items in the last three years and helped start the diaper bank.

 

Alpha Sigma Sigma Chapter continues the legacy of service to the Gary community.  Participating in the Sojourner Truth House walk, Alzheimer’s walk, Gary Literacy Coalition, Inc., American Cancer Society.  

 

We are proud to continue to provide “Greater Service, Greater Progress”.
