Welcome to the home of the amazing ladies of the Alpha Sigma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

In 1924, in the neophyte city of Gary, Indiana, Epsilon Chapter was formed.  It was organized at the home of Grace Smith by National Organizer, Homer Woods.  It was the first Negro Greek letter organization in the City of Gary.

As the Country grew and standards of education changed too.  The sorority also changed and grew to distinguish Graduate Chapters and Undergraduate Chapters.

Alpha Sigma Sigma Chapter for 94 years continues the legacy of service to the Gary community.
